Our Fee Structure:

​

• Full Probate & Estate Administration: 2.5% of the total gross value of the estate + VAT and disbursements. This covers the complete process from obtaining the Grant through to final distribution to beneficiaries.

​

• Limited Probate — Fixed Block Fee: Where instructions are restricted solely to applying for:

  • Grant of Probate — where there is a valid Will; or

  • Letters of Administration — where there is no Will and the deceased died intestate with no further estate administration responsibilities, we agree a fixed fee upfront.

Typical Disbursements:

​

• Probate Registry application fee: £526 (effective 13 July 2026, for estates over £5,000)

​

• Oath swearing: approx. £5 per personal representative

​

• Trustee Act 1925 notices: approx. £200–£300

​

• Bankruptcy searches: £2 per beneficiary where required

​

• Valuation fees, where applicable

​

Typical Timescale: Approximately 12 weeks to obtain the Grant; a further 3–6 months to complete full administration.
